SPRINGFIELD — A 21-year-old man was cited for excessive speeding in Springfield yesterday.
Police say they observed a vehicle traveling south at an extremely high rate of speed and activated their radar, capturing the vehicle traveling 112 miles-per-hour in a posted 65 miles-per-hour zone.
This is 47 miles-per-hour over the speed limit.
Police identified the driver as Tristian Dezaine, of Springfield.
Dezaine was cited to appear in court on March 14.
He was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for violation of Title 23 V.S.A. section 1004, and interstate regulations with a wavier fine of $696.
