NEW HAVEN — A 43-year-old man from Middlebury was arrested for DUI following a crash in New Haven yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place near the intersection of US Route 7 and Campground Road at around 10:25 p.m.
According to the report, Cavan Drake was traveling south on US Route 7 prior to the crash.
He exited the southbound lane and hit a snow bank which caused him to cross US Route 7 and come to rest on the northbound shoulder.
While speaking with Drake, police say they detected indicators of impairment. Drake was screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, he was transported to a detox facility and was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
