EDEN — Police say a 26-year-old man from Hardwick has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident that took place in Eden last month.
Authorities were notified of a single-vehicle crash on Route 118, at the intersection of Knowles Flat Road, at around 7:00 a.m.
According to the report, an unregistered white 2009 Subaru Impreza was traveling east on Route 118 when it went off the road and struck a Vermont Electric Cooperative power pole, severing the pole at the base.
The driver left the scene.
During the course of the investigation, police allege that Allen Robarge, 26, of Hardwick, was the driver.
Robarge was issued a citation ordering him to appear in court on January 4, for the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
