Police chase in Orleans ends in two arrests

ORLEANS — Two people were arrested following a police chase that started in Orleans yesterday.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Department said they initiated a traffic stop on Terry Adams for numerous traffic violations at around 4:45 p.m.

The vehicle fled, but police were able to safely end the pursuit and apprehend Adams along with a wanted individual who took off on foot.

Adams was found in possession of fentanyl and later lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility on an active arrest warrant.

According to the report, Adams is facing charges of grossly negligent operation, possession of fentanyl, eluding a police officer, impeding public officer, excessive speed, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful restraint in the first degree, aggravated operation without the consent of the owner, ignition interlock restricted driver’s license or certificate, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Trooper Harvey, along with her K9 successfully tracked Kelsey Davis, 35, and detained her approximately .5 miles into the woods.

Davis was held and transported to NSCF on an active warrant.
