HOLLAND — Five people are facing charges following a crash that took place in Holland on Saturday.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near Trucott Road at around 10:00 p.m.
According to police, Jason Marcoux, 47, of Holland, was on the scene and the occupants of the second vehicle had fled when they arrived.
Police spoke with Marcoux regarding the incident and allegedly observed indicators of impairment.
He was taken into custody for DUI and released with a citation.
Police identified the second driver as Hady Crowe, 27, of Brighton, who had fled to a nearby home with her passengers, Nicholas Rhye, 22, of Brighton, and three children.
Police say Crowe and Rhye left their two dogs in the crashed vehicle.
Crowe and Rhye were located at the home and allegedly refused to exit the residence to speak with troopers.
A search warrant was executed and Crowe and Rhye were located hiding inside the residence.
Police say Crowe displayed indicators of impairment and was taken into custody.
Rhye was also taken into custody for the offense of cruelty to a child.
While processing Rhye it was found that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Crowe was released with a citation to appear in court for the charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and cruelty to a child.
Rhye was transported to Northern State Correctional Facility on his arrest warrant.
Other than Marcoux, who sustained minor injuries, police say no one else was injured as a result of the crash.
Yesterday, troopers returned to the residence where both were located, and Trevor Crowe, 33, of Holland, and Katherine Earley, 32, of Holland, were charged with obstruction of justice and lying to police.
