Hit-and-run crash in Charleston

CHARLESTON — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place in Charleston on Thursday, April 14.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 5A at around 5:45 p.m.

According to the report, a 19-year-old driver from Brownington was headed south when a truck struck their vehicle from behind.

The impact caused damage to the trunk, rear bumper, and taillights.

The vehicle that fled the scene is described as a grey or silver GMC truck.

The truck then fled the scene and turned onto Pepin Road in Brownington.

Police say the truck should have damage to the front end.
