DANBY — A 52-year-old man from North Clarendon was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Danby today.
Authorities say they were notified of a crash into a utility pole on US Route 7, near Cascade Road, at around 10:40 a.m.
According to the report, the driver, identified as Carl Pritchard, was headed south and swerved to avoid an object in the road.
The vehicle left the road and hit the utility pole.
Pritchard was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
State Police were assisted on scene by Danby Fire Department, Green Mountain Power, and Bennington County Sheriff’s Department.
