Man charged with assault in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — A 51-year-old man was charged with simple assault following an incident in Springfield last month.

On February 14, police say they responded to a report of an assault on Park Street at around 10:35 p.m.

Police say that Christopher Brown, of Springfield, had assaulted a neighbor.

According to the resort, the assault caused physical injury.

Brown was located the following day and issued a criminal citation to appear in court on April 12.
