SPRINGFIELD — A 28-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Springfield early this morning.
The single-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Grove Street and Mount Vernon Street at around 1:20 a.m.
The driver, identified as Micheal Marrone, of Springfield, fled the scene of the crash, and police were notified he was at a local residence.
Police located Marrone and observed several signs of impairment.
He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and was processed at Springfield Police Department.
He was released with a citation to appear in court on March 22.
