COLCHESTER — A 35-year-old man from Grand Isle was arrested for his third DUI following an incident in Colchester yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle traveling erratically on Interstate 89 south at around 6:45 p.m.
Shortly after, it was reported the vehicle had driven off the road at mile marker 93.
Police identified the driver as Derrick Perreault when they arrived.
While speaking with Perreault, police say they observed indicators of impairment.
He was arrested for suspicion of DUI #3 and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, Perreault was issued a citation to appear in court on March 10 to answer the charge and was released to a sober adult.
