COLCHESTER — Police are investigating a structure fire that broke out in Colchester on Wednesday.
The blaze took place on Main Street at around 5:00 p.m.
A local police officer was actively patrolling when he saw smoke coming from a single-family residence, and called it in.
Crews entered the home and made an aggressive interior attack, and the fire was declared out just minutes later.
Interior crews switched from fire suppression to ventilation and overhaul efforts.
Fire crews were on the scene for approximately 3 hours.
Police say there were no injuries to fire personnel or the public.
The fire is not considered suspicious.
