MONDAY 12-13-21
- Conducted Patrols in 7 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Overweight Violation – Monkton – While on patrol on Monkton Rd, the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement deputy observed a Tractor Trailer operating on a weight restricted road. The TT unit was stopped and did not have a permit to be operating on that road. The vehicle was weighed, and it was 38,000 lbs overweight. A ticket was issued for the violation.
- Community Outreach – Middlebury – Provided space for a supervised visit for Women Safe.
TUESDAY 12-14-21
- Conducted Patrols in 6 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Tuesday is our fingerprinting day! If you need your fingerprints taken for any purpose, please call our office at (802) 388-2981 for further details and to schedule an appointment.
- VIN Verification – Weybridge – Provided a VIN verification for a resident. We provide this service for free to any Addison County resident, so please call us at (802) 388-2981 to have a deputy come by if you need this done.
- Public Assist – Ferrisburgh – Deputies stood by at a residence while an individual retrieved belongings after being removed from the house due to a Relief from Abuse Order.
WEDNESDAY 12-15-21
- Conducted Patrols in 6 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Detail – Salisbury – Provided blue lights for a landscaping company at the intersection of Route 53 and Upper Plains Road.
- Child Safety Seat Inspection – Middlebury – Completed 2 Child Protective Seat safety inspections for families that wanted to make sure the seat was installed correctly. If you would like to have your car seat inspected to make sure it’s installed safely, please call our office to schedule an appointment.
- VIN Verification – Waltham – Provided a VIN verification for a resident.
- Solid Waste Complaint – Waltham – A resident reported trash dumped on the side of the road on Green St. A deputy picked up the trash and was not able to identify who had left it there. The trash, including several hypodermic needles, was properly disposed of.
THURSDAY 12-16-21
- Conducted Patrols in 5 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Child Safety Seat Inspection – Middlebury – Completed a Child Protective Seat safety inspection for a family that wanted to make sure the seat was installed correctly.
- Agency Assist – Middlebury – Provided security due to safety concerns for the owner of an apartment while an inspection was done at that apartment. No issues arose and the inspection was successfully completed.
- Transport – Deputies transported an individual from Middlebury to Brattleboro.
- Animal Problem – Waltham – Received a complaint of an unrestrained dog being aggressive toward people walking by. The owner of the animal was warned about controlling their dog.
- VIN Verification – Middlebury – Provided a VIN verification for a resident.
FRIDAY 12-17-21
- Conducted Patrols in 5 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
- Motor Vehicle Complaint – Roxbury – Route 12A – While on their way to serve paperwork, a deputy came upon a tractor trailer that could not continue on Route 12a due to the low clearance of a railroad bridge over the road. The deputy escorted the tractor trailer as it backed up approximately 2.5 miles until a safe turn around was found.
- Overweight Violation – Monkton – While on patrol on Bristol Rd, the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement deputy observed a Tractor Trailer operating on a weight restricted road. The TT unit was stopped and did not have a permit to be operating on that road. The vehicle was weighed, and it was 14,000 lbs overweight. A ticket was issued for the violation. MONDAY – FRIDAY
- Provided security at the Mahady Courthouse in Middlebury. This includes screening visitors as they enter the Courthouse and security in the Courtroom during hearings.
- The Retired Sheriff, Don Keeler, served paperwork for Civil Process.
