Barre man arrested after displaying stun gun, firing airsoft gun during argument

MONTPELIER —A 35-year-old man was arrested for aggravated disorderly conduct following an incident in Montpelier on Sunday.

Authorities were notified of an altercation involving a pellet gun and a stun gun in the area of Main Street and the bike path at around 2:20 p.m.

According to the report, a verbal argument escalated to one party displaying an airsoft pistol and firing pellets around the other party’s feet.

The man also displayed and activated an electronic stun gun.

Police say both weapons were seized as evidence.

The man is a resident of Barre, but police have not released his name.
