FAIRFIELD — A 28-year-old man from Richford was arrested on multiple charges following a crash in Fairfield on Saturday.
Authorities were notified of the single-vehicle crash after several callers indicated the operator was potentially intoxicated on Vermont Route 36, near Park Street, at around 9:10 p.m.
The driver was identified as Nicholas Sherrer.
Following an investigation, police say that Sherrer had a criminally suspended license and was under the influence of alcohol.
He was taken into custody and transported to the St Albans barracks for processing.
Sherrer was lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility due to a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear.
He was cited to appear in court on December 20 to answer for the charges of driving under the
influence #3 and driving with license suspended – criminal.
