NEW HAVEN — A 48-year-old man from Shoreham is facing multiple charges following an incident in New Haven on Thursday.
Authorities were notified of a bar fight at Porky’s BBQ Restaurant at around 11:54 p.m.
Police say most of the involved parties had left the scene when they arrived.
Following an investigation, police allege that Arlyn Sunderland had engaged in violent, tumultuous behavior in a public place.
Police say when Sunderland left the scene, he operated his vehicle in a negligent manner, nearly striking multiple vehicles.
Shortly after, troopers located Sunderland’s vehicle parked on an embankment near his driveway with front-end contact damage.
Police located him at his home, and while speaking with Sunderland, police say they detected several indicators of impairment.
He was screened, and placed under arrest for DUI #3.
He was later released to a sober adult with a citation to appear in court at a later date for the charges of DUI #3, negligent operation, disorderly conduct, and false information to law enforcement.
Police are still investigating this case.
