FRANKLIN — An inmate at Northwest Correctional Facility was cited for assault after attacking a guard.
Jeremy Phillips, was being transported to Northwestern Medical Center for self-inflicted injuries, police say.
While being transported, police say Phillips became assaultive and bit Jamie Blay, of St. Albans, multiple times.
He was given a citation to appear in court on November 22 to answer to the charge.
