GEORGIA — A 68-year-old man from Highgate was injured during a motorcycle crash in Georgia on Saturday.
The crash took place on Georgia Shore Road at around 3:45 p.m.
According to the report, Robert Draleaus had just passed a slow moving red tractor hauling a hay wagon before continuing south towards the intersection of Ferrand Road.
There was a vehicle preparing to turn from Ferrand Road to Georgia Shore in order to travel north that stopped once the driver saw the motorcycle.
Police say Draleaus then applied the rear brake of the motorcycle and skid for approximately 44 feet before coming to rest on its side.
He was transported to NMC and then UVMMC for his injuries.
