Vehicle hits house in Irasburg, driver arrested for DUI and assault on law enforcement

IRASBURG — A 37-year-old man from Barton is facing multiple charges following an incident in Irasburg earlier this week.

On Monday, police were notified that a truck had driven onto the lawn of a residence along Vermont Route 58 at around 8:45 p.m, and hit their house along with other items.

The driver was identified as John Stacey.

According to police, Stacey was arrested on suspicion of DUI-Alcohol #3.

Police say while attempting to place Stacey in custody, he spit on them and also resisted arrest.

He was charged with DUI #3, assault on law enforcement, and resisting arrest.
