NEWPORT — Two local graduating students were recently awarded scholarships from the MAC Center for the Arts.
Logan Chaput of Newport Center, a 2018 graduate from North Country Union High School, was a recipient of the MAC Scholarship.
Chaput will be matriculating to Ithaca College with a major in Music Education and Voice.
Celeste Piette of Irasburg, a 2018 graduate from Lake Region Union High School, was also a recipient.
Piette will matriculate to the University of Vermont with a major in Theatre and Communications.
