WATERFORD — A New Hampshire man avoided injury after his vehicle veered off Interstate 93 when a tire failed Monday afternoon.
Chad Cusano, 49, of Littleton, was driving northbound on I-93 near mile marker 4.2 when the driver-side rear tire of his 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee suddenly failed at approximately 12:02 p.m.
The tire failure caused Cusano’s vehicle to veer off the roadway and into the median.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of the single-vehicle crash.
Cusano, who was not wearing a seat belt, escaped without injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle was also uninjured in the incident.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee sustained total damage.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the incident due to rain.
