ROCKY HILL — A body was discovered in the Connecticut River near Ferry Park on Sunday morning, according to the Rocky Hill Police Department.
Police received a report from a boater at 8:53 a.m. about a body in the water near the shoreline south of the park.
Responding officers and emergency personnel confirmed the presence of a deceased individual in the water.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was notified and responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The identity of the individual remains unknown at this time.
The cause of death is pending determination by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Rocky Hill Police Department Detective Division is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this case.
