MERIDEN — The Meriden Police Department arrested a man Friday in connection with a shooting that occurred on Crown Street last month.
On March 28, at approximately 8:23 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired near 90 Crown Street.
Officers found several shell casings at the scene and determined that a nearby residence had been struck by gunfire.
The department’s Major Crimes Unit investigated the incident and secured a felony arrest warrant for Quasime Torres, 25.
Torres was taken into custody by the New Britain Police Department on April 25 and transferred to Meriden police.
He faces charges including criminal attempt at assault in the first degree, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Torres is being held on a $250,000 court-set bond.
