BRATTLEBORO — A local man was arrested Friday morning after a routine traffic stop revealed multiple violations including an active arrest warrant.
Michael Roy, 36, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody at approximately 9:09 a.m. on Canal Street after a Vermont State Trooper from the Westminster Barracks pulled him over for a motor vehicle violation.
During the investigation, the trooper discovered Roy had an active arrest warrant, was violating court-ordered conditions of release, and was driving without a required ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle.
Roy was transported to the Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division for the warrant and held on $500 bail.
He was also issued a criminal citation to appear before the Windham County Superior Court on June 17 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges of Violation of Conditions of Release and Ignition Interlock Required.
