WORCESTER — Worcester Police arrested three individuals, including a juvenile, after finding two illegal firearms in a vehicle on April 24 at 6:45 p.m.

The arrests followed an investigation into an April 4 ShotSpotter activation on Edward Street, where officers found eight shell casings at approximately 11:10 p.m.

Investigators determined that Miguel Huertas, 19, had fired the weapon during the earlier incident.

Detectives located Huertas in the rear passenger seat of a vehicle after receiving information about his active warrant for firearms charges.

Officers safely removed Huertas and four others from the vehicle before discovering two firearms in the backseat where Huertas, Daylin Davidson, 20, and a juvenile were sitting.

None of the individuals possessed a license to carry firearms.

Huertas faces multiple charges including carrying loaded firearms without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and an outstanding warrant.

Davidson and the juvenile were each charged with carrying loaded firearms without a license, carrying firearms without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

The Crime Scene Unit recovered the weapons from the scene.
