PLAINVILLE — A woman was robbed of her purse while loading her vehicle in the Lowe’s parking lot on New Britain Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Thursday.
The victim was approached by a suspect who grabbed her purse from her shopping cart, according to the Plainville Police Department.
When the woman attempted to stop the theft, the suspect pushed her away before fleeing the scene.
Police said the suspect escaped in a dark gray 2008 BMW 328i with Massachusetts registration 3MPD23, which had been previously reported stolen from Hartford.
Authorities described the suspect as a younger male with dark skin, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and face covering.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
Plainville Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department to assist with the investigation.
