PENN YAN — A 57-year-old Penn Yan woman was arrested following a reported theft at a local grocery store.
Sandra J. Shriver was taken into custody by Penn Yan Police Department officers after allegedly stealing items from Aldi.
Authorities said Shriver failed to scan merchandise at the self-checkout station, taking goods valued at more than $170.
Shriver was processed at the police department and released on an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
