PENN YAN — A Penn Yan man was arrested Friday after allegedly threatening someone with a hammer during a disturbance on Wagener Street.
Christopher F. Cooke, 39, was taken into custody at 3:15 p.m. after police responded to the incident.
Authorities say Cooke threatened another individual with a hammer and subjected them to unwanted physical contact.
Cooke was charged with menacing in the second degree and harassment in the second degree.
He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
