HOLLIS — A Nashua man was arrested Thursday after allegedly causing a disturbance at a high school baseball game while intoxicated before attempting to drive away.
Bill Spaulding, 59, was taken into custody at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the Hollis-Brookline High School baseball field after police responded to reports of an unwanted subject.
According to the Hollis Police Department, witnesses reported that a possibly intoxicated male was blowing smoke into one of the dugouts during the game.
After being confronted, the subject went to the parking lot and entered a vehicle where officers located him.
Police said they immediately detected signs of impairment upon speaking with Spaulding.
Spaulding was charged with aggravated DUI, driving without giving proof, driving after revocation (subsequent offense), DUI>.08, DUI, and operating without a valid license.
The aggravated DUI charge stems from allegations that Spaulding had a blood alcohol concentration of .22, nearly three times the legal limit of .08.
Spaulding was processed at the Hollis Police Department and released on personal recognizance bail with an arraignment date at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.
