HIGHGATE — A 41-year-old Enosburgh man faces a petit larceny charge after allegedly using counterfeit money at a self-serve farm stand.
Vermont State Police responded to a theft report on Saint Armand Road in Highgate at approximately 7:41 a.m. on March 20.
Following an investigation, authorities determined John Tatro had used a counterfeit bill to purchase multiple items from the stand.
The victim was identified as Joanne Quimby, 55, of Highgate.
Tatro was later located and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. on May 27 to answer to the charge.
