DOVER — David Williams, 46, of Dover, surrendered to police on April 25 after being sought for several days on weapons and other charges, according to Dover Police Chief William Breault.
Williams, of 102 Durham Road, turned himself in at approximately 4:30 p.m. on warrants for Criminal Threatening, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Disobeying an Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
The charges stem from an April 21 incident in which Williams allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument with another individual.
Officers located Williams as he arrived at his residence, but he fled into his house and then out the rear of the property into nearby woods, escaping before police could secure the area.
Dover Police detectives had been investigating leads and tips regarding Williams’s whereabouts since the incident, eventually leading to his surrender.
Williams refused bail and is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at the 7th Circuit Court – District Division – Dover on April 28 at 10 a.m.
