Woman arrested on multiple warrants during traffic stop in Randolph

RANDOLPH — A Northfield woman was arrested on multiple warrants following a traffic stop on VT Route 12-A at Wallace Hill Road on April 23.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks conducted the stop at approximately 7:05 p.m. for an observed motor vehicle violation.

During the investigation, troopers identified a passenger as Jasmine M. Brown, 21, of Northfield.

Further investigation revealed Brown had provided false information to police and had multiple active instate warrants for her arrest.

Brown was taken into custody, transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing, and lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

The active warrants included charges of two counts of felony burglary into occupied dwelling with bail set at $20,000 each, misdemeanor cocaine possession under 2.5 grams with $100 bail, and misdemeanor simple assault on a protected professional with bodily injury with $100 bail.

Brown is scheduled to appear in court on April 24 at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and again on May 20 at 8:30 a.m.

Her court appearances will be in Chittenden, Orange, Washington, and Windsor (at Woodstock) counties.

Total bail was set at $40,200.
