SCHENECTADY — Police have identified Wilfredo N. Vasquez Jr., 36, as the victim in Wednesday afternoon’s shooting on Van Vranken Avenue.
The shooting occurred in front of 1807 Van Vranken Avenue, according to a statement released by the Schenectady Police Department.
Authorities had initially described the victim as being in his 20s in earlier press releases.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
