WESTFIELD — The Westfield Police Department issued a missing person alert Wednesday for a 40-year-old man who requires daily medication and is believed to be in danger.
Nikolay Kontsemal, a white male described as approximately 5 feet tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, was last seen around 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Birch Bluffs area of Westfield.
According to police, Kontsemal appeared pale and lethargic when last observed by witnesses.
Authorities report that Kontsemal’s medication remains at his residence along with his vehicle, and he has not taken his required medication since at least Tuesday.
Police also noted that Kontsemal is in need of an important surgery at this time.
Kontsemal has connections to Westfield, Southwick and Suffield, Connecticut, and may be in any of these areas.
The Westfield Police Department is asking anyone who sees Kontsemal or has information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately at 413-562-5411.
Individuals can also contact their local police department if they locate the missing man.
