SOMERVILLE — A man was arrested after allegedly pointing a firearm at another person’s door following an altercation at the local YMCA, police reported.
On April 16 at approximately 6:28 p.m., Somerville Police responded to the YMCA for a weapons call.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated he had been involved in a physical altercation with another male.
The victim told police that after the altercation, the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim’s door.
Officers conducted a search of the suspect’s room and located a semi-automatic handgun with a defaced serial number and .45 caliber ammunition.
The suspect was placed under arrest.
In a separate incident on April 17 at approximately 10:58 p.m., Somerville Police responded to the area of 17 Webster St for a report of shots fired.
Officers located one spent shell casing at the corner of Cutter St and Webster St.
No injuries were reported in the shooting incident.
