UNION — Authorities have narrowed their search for a missing Endicott man to an area near the intersection of North McKinley Avenue and Woodrow Avenue in the Town of Union.

Joseph Maine, 48, reportedly left his house on foot on the evening of Saturday, April 19, and never returned home.

Witness reports and video surveillance spotted Maine multiple times on Saturday evening and the early morning hours of Sunday, April 20, traveling on foot through multiple locations within the nearby area.

Maine is reportedly diabetic and may not have taken his medication recently, which could cause him to exhibit confused behavior, according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office.

Neighbors within a mile radius are urged to check their doorbell cameras and security cameras for footage between the hours of 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, and today.

Residents are also asked to check their properties, including sheds, garages and other structures where Maine might have sought shelter.

Maine is described as a white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 167 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a light grey sweatshirt, dark grey sweatpants, a black baseball cap with a fishhook hanging from it, and black sneakers with “FUBU” in red lettering.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (607) 778-1196 and reference Case #25-10146.
