RUTLAND — Police are searching for a 26-year-old Worcester man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident.
Zachary Lear, formerly of Maine, is accused of striking another vehicle with his unregistered and uninsured car before fleeing the scene, according to the Rutland Police Department.
Authorities say Lear also has a separate warrant from another department for failing to stop for police and additional traffic offenses.
The Rutland Police Department is asking anyone with information about Lear’s whereabouts to contact them at 508-886-4033, their local police department, or email Detective DeSousa at cdesousa@rutlandpd.us.
Officials warn the public not to attempt to apprehend Lear.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
