ENDICOTT — The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple instances of nails and screws scattered across residential streets between En-Joie Golf Club and Roundtop Picnic Area.

Residents have discovered loose hardware at several intersections over the past few months, including West Main Street and Bassett Avenue, Marcella Street and South Grippen Avenue, and Main Street and South Grippen Avenue.

Investigators are reviewing available footage from the affected areas to identify those responsible for the hazardous debris.

The sheriff’s office is asking residents to check their doorbell and security cameras for any suspicious activity that could help with the investigation.

Anyone with information, video footage or tips is urged to contact the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (607) 778-1196.
