MAYFIELD — State Police arrested a 64-year-old Mayfield man Tuesday on felony charges related to child sexual exploitation following a multi-agency investigation.

Jeffrey B. Weiderman was charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.

The arrest on April 22 came after investigators executed a search warrant at Weiderman’s Mayfield residence.

State Police from Fonda conducted the investigation with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Authorities said the investigation began after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

After processing at the State Police barracks in Mayfield, Weiderman was transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility where he awaits arraignment.
