Wrong-way driver arrested in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK — A Manchester man was arrested after driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 in Woodstock.

At 8:16 p.m. yesterday, April 21, State Police Troop F received a report of a vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lanes, in the area of Exit 30 on Interstate 93.

Responding troopers located the driver in the area of Exit 31, pulled off on the median shoulder facing the wrong direction.

They identified the driver as Guillermo Rafael Sanchez Jr., 27, of Manchester.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with felony reckless conduct, driving while intoxicated (second offense), transporting alcoholic beverages (open container), and reckless driving.

He was held on preventative detention and will be arraigned at a later date in Plymouth District Court.

Troopers were assisted in this case by officers from the Woodstock Police Department, the Lincoln Police Department, and the Franconia Police Department.
