SOUTH BURLINGTON — A Burlington woman was arrested Monday evening after state police discovered she had an active warrant during a routine traffic stop.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police pulled over a vehicle for a moving violation on Interstate 89 northbound near mile marker 88.6 at approximately 7:37 p.m.

The driver was identified as Sarah N. Rose, 31, of Burlington.

Further investigation revealed Rose had an active in-state warrant for charges of providing false information to a law enforcement officer and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

Troopers also determined Rose was currently operating with a criminally suspended license at the time of the stop.

Rose was taken into custody and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing before being transferred to Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $100 bail.

She was issued a citation to appear May 27 at 8:30 a.m. before the Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
