Woman arrested on outstanding warrant in Berkshire

BERKSHIRE — Vermont State Police arrested a local woman Monday evening on an outstanding warrant while conducting patrol in town.

Shannon Lontine, 50, of Berkshire, was taken into custody at approximately 7:10 p.m. at a residence on Montgomery Road.

Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks located Lontine, who was wanted on multiple charges including violation of probation and possession of stolen property.

The warrant included charges of violation of probation, a misdemeanor, and buying, receiving, selling, possessing or concealing stolen property valued at $900 or less, also a misdemeanor.

Lontine was transported to Chittenden County Correctional Center where she was held on $1,000 bail.

She was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court’s Criminal Division on April 22 at 1 p.m. to answer to the charges related to the warrant.
