BATH — A Dansville woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of narcotics, Bath police reported.
Desiree Stratton, 46, was pulled over on Liberty Street on April 14 when officers noticed her sedan had insufficient tail lamps.
During the stop, police observed suspicious behavior that prompted a consent search of the vehicle.
Officers discovered an unspecified quantity of narcotics in the vehicle along with a lock box.
K9 Bud was deployed and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the box.
Stratton consented to opening the box, which contained additional narcotics, according to police.
She was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, insufficient or no tail lamps, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
Stratton was released on appearance tickets.
