WEYMOUTH — Weymouth Police arrested a 56-year-old man Friday night after responding to a report of an unwanted person at a Lindbergh Avenue residence.
Officers arrived at approximately 9:24 p.m. on April 18 and identified the individual as Aurelius Lee McCann, who had an outstanding warrant from Quincy District Court.
McCann was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
A subsequent search of the residence led to the discovery of a shotgun and ammunition, which police said McCann was not licensed to possess.
McCann, previously a resident of 15 Lindbergh Avenue, faces multiple charges including firearm violation with one prior violent crime, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm without an FID card, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
He was held on $20,000 cash bail and scheduled for arraignment at Quincy District Court.
