WAPPINGER FALLS — New York State Police arrested a 38-year-old Wappinger Falls man on multiple charges following a domestic dispute involving a knife on April 20.
Troopers responded to a residence in the Town of Wappinger after receiving reports of a domestic dispute.
Investigation determined that Ismael Quiles struck the victim in the face before grabbing a knife and lunging toward the victim’s neck and head.
The victim managed to gain control of the knife but sustained severe lacerations to her hands during the struggle.
Quiles was arrested at the scene and charged with menacing in the second degree, assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail following his arrest.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 23 at 5 p.m. at the Town of Wappinger Court.
