BAINBRIDGE — New York State Police at Sidney responded to a one-vehicle crash on East Afton Road in the town of Bainbridge after being dispatched by the Chenango County 911 Center at approximately 8:24 a.m. on April 20.
An investigation at the scene revealed that a 17-year-old female driver lost control of an SUV, veering off the roadway into an embankment.
The vehicle then crossed a creek, struck several trees and came to rest on the opposite side of the waterway.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
