SALAMANCA — Salamanca police arrested seven individuals on various charges during the weekend of April 19-20, according to a department release.
James Olson, 40, of Olean, was taken into custody for felony Driving While Intoxicated with two prior convictions, felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, and Circumventing Interlock Device.
Olson also received citations for Moving from Lane Unsafely, Fail to Keep Right on a 2-Lane Road, Refusal to Take Breath Test, Driving to the Left of Pavement Markings, and Improper Left Turn on a 2-Way Road.
Anthony Piscitelli, 33, of Salamanca, was arrested for Appearing in Public Under the Influence of Drug/Narcotics on April 19.
The following day, Ethan Jimerson, 20, of Salamanca, was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct.
Orianna Jimerson, 25, of Salamanca, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after a traffic stop.
Virgil Wolfe, 44, of Salamanca, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a harassment complaint that led to a traffic stop.
Additional charges included Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 of 1% or more of Alcohol in Blood, Drinking Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Operating a Motor Vehicle by an Unlicensed Operator.
In a separate incident, police conducted a traffic stop after observing a male crouching in the bed of a moving pickup truck.
The driver, Kelsey Hadsell, 24, of Dunkirk, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and issued a citation for Stickers on Rear Window.
Kyle Perry, 31, of Dunkirk, the man in the truck bed, was charged with Criminal Contempt for violating a court order of protection that named Hadsell as the protected party.
Perry also received citations for Holding onto or Within a Moving Motor Vehicle and No Seatbelt.
Perry, who had an outstanding bench warrant from the City of Dunkirk and was on probation, was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail after arraignment in Salamanca City Court.
Police also reported issuing three universal traffic tickets to motorists within the city during this period, including two for speeding and one for No Stop Lamps.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
