ORWELL — Vermont State Police arrested a 22-year-old Orwell man on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct following an investigation that began in December 2024.
Cody F. LaDuc was taken into custody on April 22 at 10 a.m. for a separate incident and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
The investigation, which started on Dec. 19, 2024, involved allegations concerning a 9-year-old female victim from incidents that occurred in 2020.
Detectives determined that LaDuc had committed the offense of lewd and lascivious conduct during that time.
After processing, LaDuc was issued a citation and released to appear before the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
The Department of Children and Families assisted state police detectives throughout the investigation.
