CANTON — State Police arrested a 20-year-old Lisbon man on charges of grand larceny after he allegedly falsified documents to steal more than $117,000 from the Advocacy & Resource Center.
Jordan L. Foster was arrested April 18 on second-degree grand larceny charges for property theft exceeding $50,000.
The investigation began Oct. 22 at 3:01 p.m. when State Police received a report about an employee falsifying documents.
Investigators determined Foster had been falsifying time sheets and mileage reimbursement claims while employed by ARC to care for a family member.
Foster was hired in November 2022 and continued in the role until August 2024.
During this period, authorities say Foster would clock in claiming to be caring for the family member while actually working at a different job.
He also submitted false mileage reimbursement invoices from January 2023 to July 2024.
The total amount falsified, including Community Habilitation and mileage, was $117,415.94.
Foster was processed at the State Police barracks in Canton and arraigned in the Town of Canton Court.
He was released on his own recognizance.
