NEWBURY — A homeless man was arrested Tuesday morning on two outstanding warrants and a drug charge after being spotted by state troopers on Route 302.
Richard Davis, 49, of Ryegate, was taken into custody at approximately 9:20 a.m. when troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks recognized him while patrolling the area.
Upon searching Davis, troopers discovered cocaine in his possession.
Davis was transported to the State Police Bradford Outpost for processing before being taken to Orange County Criminal Court.
The court set bail at $200 for a Washington County warrant and $5,000 for an Orange County warrant.
Davis was also cited to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on May 28 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges related to cocaine possession.
