THETFORD — A local man was cited for driving under the influence after allegedly crashing his vehicle and leaving the scene Sunday night.
Joshua Cole, 25, of Thetford, was issued a citation following a crash that occurred at approximately 9:36 p.m. on Vermont Route 113 near Latham Road.
Vermont State Police responded to reports of the crash, but emergency medical services located Cole at his residence approximately one mile from the scene.
Troopers made contact with Cole at his home, where further investigation determined he was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of operation, according to police.
Cole was cited for DUI-Refusal and is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on May 7 at 8:30 a.m.
